Lovin' the wagon
Grandpa introduced them to picking flowers on wagon rides and they continue to pick and sometimes eat them. Grandpa pulling Claire and cousin Nina.
Claire, Evan, Simon, James and Nina at the Springfield campgrounds.
Evan, Evan, Evan
Evan had a rough week in July, first he pushed this table over with all the top contents, thankfully no one was hurt. A couple hours later he fell down steps and then a few days later her climbed/fell out of his crib. Both babies now have crib tents to keep them safe.
Scenes from the lake cabin
We had many a pretty sunsets during our week at the cabin.
Evan lounging in the swing.
Claire playing in the beach sand.
Claire swinging away, they both loves swinging.
They also both like playing in water, preferably warm however.
First time wearing life jackets, they were tolerated because they got a pontoon ride.
Nana Vicky teaching them how to ride on a kids kayak, they seemed to enjoy this too.
Is there anyone smarter than a determined 1 year old? Claire outwitted us everytime we added chairs, it was tough to keep them off the dock.
On a very personal note
June 20th was their last bottles, I was quite sad about it. I think that it was the full circle idea. I hated feeding them for the first couple months because it was a bit of a challenge and at the end it was my favorite thing to do in the mornings and at bedtimes.
Claire playing around
Claire initially loved wearing and playing with hats, she sure doesn't like to wear them now.
On a recent visit to the MN Zoo we learned that Claire loves animals and it seems the bigger the better. She roamed the goat pen and they surrounded her and she loved it, lots of giggling. Evan on the other hand, couldn't be set down in the goat pen without screams, however he'll chase or pick up any bug, dead or alive (think boxelder bugs, junebugs, caterpillars).
Giggling good time
Evan has the best belly giggle, it makes anyone smile!
They are playing together so much now and it is so fun to watch.
