Our New Normal : December 2011

First Santa Picture

This picture was the best of the bunch. Claire, who usually puts on the braver face in this type of situation was just not feeling it, she screamed her head off and Evan had welled up eyes but didn't cry. Santa visited daycare last week too and Claire again screamed hysterics and Evan ran up and jumped on his lap (which is very out of character for him when it comes to unknown people currently).

Getting a little independent and opinionated

Claire is really getting good at dressing herself. She can put on her own socks, pants and shoes. She does however struggle with shirts. She was so proud of herself for getting into this shirt though, she insisted on wearing it as is for lunch. Claire certainly is asserting her personality and need to do it herself already.

Wearing our shoes around the house is quite common place these days.

Evan is currently the in-house fashionista. He cares about what he is wearing and pink is currently his favorite color. Don't bother trying to put him in clothes that you've picked out if he has spotted something he wants to wear, he won't budge! He likes to wear Claire's shoes, he has to have the pink bib and the don't forget the bright pink/leopard poncho that he has to wear.
