Summer 2014 around home

Early summer flooding left the beach and sandbox a bit too wet for play.

We have some so much wildlife since moving to our new home.

Painting birdhouses.
First day of summer break and Claire yanks a toy out of Evan's hands and one end goes flying and wacks him in the face.  Hope the rest of summer goes better.
Having fun scrubbing the kitchen sink clean-not sure how long this helpful phase will last but I sure like it.
Claire loves building stuff and she is good at it but thankfully she (and Evan) still nap!
They insisted one morning on doing this 100 piece puzzle and I said no because it would take them all summer but they still wanted to do it so I said fine and they worked intensely on it and finished it by lunch.  They never cease to amaze!
Homemade bean shooters.
Summer party with our new neighbors.
Still enjoy a ride with Bryan.
This is the summer of endless chalk art, thankfully we had a large supply to burn through.
Our little monkeys on rings.

Playing catch.

Growing grandpa's corn in the sandbox, due to the flood, this is a midsummer replant so they this is their peak growth.

Hanging at home with mom.
First slip-n-slide with neighbor girl, tons of fun!

Claire and Evan's playdoh gardens.

Evan was too tired to even start building.
Evan in his Dora jammies, still loving them and they are comfy.
Fall 2014 - just before we took the dock out for the season.
